Lazy Sunday afternoon
I have had a lovely, gentle and peaceful day. After a much needed long sleep I woke to hear the wind beating the rain against the bedroom window, making the last few minutes in bed feel even more cosy and comforting.
Most of this morning was spent preparing pictures and wording for new items for the website, then after Dave had finally crawled out of bed, we had a leisurely cuppa together and then went out for a roast lunch at one of the local pubs. I guess we could now almost be considered regulars for lunch at the pub. We don't drink alcohol and rarely go to a pub in the evenings for social events, but we do like to go out for Sunday lunch when we get the chance.
This afternoon seems to have disappeared with more editing of photographs, cups of tea and chatting with friends and family on the telephone. I have also been watching some breathtakingly beautiful images on the telly in a couple of wildlife and natural history programmes, whilst Dave has been in the dining room shooting at things on a computer game.
We have really enjoyed our day off and this evening we plan to curl up on the sofa and watch Cranford.
Must be time for a fresh cuppa, chat soon, Liz
