BARGAIN HUNTING
Yesterday Cecily and I took my Mum back to her home and we thought that we would 'hit the sales' on our way home.
So off we went to a major store near Gloucester to seek out some bargains ~ we failed. Then we went to a shoe shop for essential shoe shopping ~ we failed. And so with disappointment weighing us down (when it should have been shopping bags!), we made our way to Hereford and popped into Sainsburys to pick up a few bits of food to top up the basics that we had run out of at home.
I got home to find that the postman had delivered some mail order catalogues' sale booklets and I wasted no time in browsing through them in earnest, in the hope that they would offer me bargain and a potential birthday present (it's in a couple of weeks) ~ I failed.
Then I realised that the best place for me to look was a bit closer to home... so this morning I trundled off to work and will be asking Dave to give me the floral rose cotton bag from our shop for my birthday.
Well, I am off to find some supper, chat soon, Liz
